WEST ROCKVILLE MARYLAND WEATHER UPDATE – THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 9, 2021
Thursday started out cloudy with rain falling right at midnight and continuing off and on most of the overnight (0.30″). It remained cloudy most of the daylight hours before clearing off in the late afternoon. We reached the mid 70s for highs with dew points dropping through the 60s early right at midnight to the upper 50s by the very end of the day. We peaked with a cooler max temperature (75.4) of the day in the later mid-afternoon. The low temperature for the day (in the lower mid-60s) was reached at the very end of the day.
The peak wind gust for the day (19 MPH) was not as strong as yesterday, peaking at the very beginning of the day, veering around to a NW direction. Barometric pressures were highest in at the very end of the day while the lowest was reached in the early morning hours.
Friday starts a sunny, dry period through mid-week next week, with highs in the mid-upper 70s on Friday and lows in the mid-upper 50s, 80 and 60 on Saturday, then temperatures climbing each day through the 80s till getting close to 90 by next Wednesday. Lows should climb slowly through the period through the 60s.

Currently at 0224 AM EDT Friday we have clear skies, a temperature of 62.0, barometer 29.91″ and rising, relative humidity 80%, dew point 56, winds NNW-NE 0-5 MPH. No rain has fallen since midnight into the tipping bucket VP2 gauge at the USG site across the street from me.
