WEST ROCKVILLE MARYLAND WEATHER UPDATE – LABOR DAY MONDAY SEPTEMBER 6, 2021
Labor Day Monday was cloudy overnight with very light rain showers (0.01″) that cleared off and turned into a partly cloudy, warmer day. We reached the lower 80s for highs with dew points lowering from around 70 around midnight down into the upper 50s by the afternoon. We peaked with a warmer max temperature (81.7) of the day in the mid afternoon. The low temperature for the day (in the mid 60s) was reached in the late evening just before midnight.
The peak wind gust for the day (28 MPH) was quite strong, peaking in the early mid-afternoon, veering around to a NW direction. Barometric pressures were highest in the late evening just prior to midnight while the lowest was reached in the very early morning hours just after midnight at the start of the observational day.
Tuesday and Wednesday should be partly to mostly sunny and dry, with high temps in the mid 80s and lows in the mid 60s. There should be a cooling trend on Thursday and Friday with highs in the mid-upper 70s and lows in the mid-upper 50s and continued dry with partly to mostly sunny skies.

Currently at 0130 AM EDT Tuesday we have clear skies, a temperature of 65.3, barometer 29.97″ and rising, relative humidity 81%, dew point 59, winds NW-N 0-10 MPH. No rain has fallen since midnight into the tipping bucket VP2 gauge at the USG site across the street from me.
