WEST ROCKVILLE MARYLAND WEATHER UPDATE – THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 2, 2021
Thursday was a really nice, calm, cooler, beautiful day to follow yesterday’s mayhem. The day was sunny, dry, and cooler. We reached the mid 70s for highs with dew points dropping all day, ranging from the low 60s at the beginning of the day, dropping into the upper 40s by mid afternoon along with the temperatures cooling off. We peaked with our slightly cooler max temperature (76.4) of the day in the mid afternoon. The low temperature for the day (in the upper 50s) was reached in the morning a bit less than an hour after sunrise.
The peak wind gust for the day (24 MPH) was moderately strong, peaking in the late morning, veering over to a predominant NE direction. Barometric pressures were highest in the very early morning around midnight while the lowest was reached in the late evening just prior to midnight, almost 24 hours later.
Friday should be similar to Thursday with sunny skies and highs in the mid 70s and lows in the mid 50s and dry. Saturday should warm up a bit to around 80 with partly cloudy skies and lows in the low 60s. Sunday looks cloudy now with showers, with highs in the mid 70s and lows in the low-mid 60s. Monday and Tuesday should be partly to mostly sunny and dry, with high temps in the low 80s and lows in the upper 50s to low 60s.
