WEST ROCKVILLE MARYLAND WEATHER UPDATE – SATURDAY AUGUST 21, 2021

Saturday stayed mostly cloudy but dry, warmer than Friday, reaching the tolerable mid 80s for highs but with dew points mostly in the low-mid 70s. We peaked with our
moderate max temperature (84.4) of the day in the early afternoon time period. The low temperature for the day (in the low 70s) was reached about a half hour after
sunrise.

The peak winds (9 MPH) were even lower than yesterday’s light winds with a quite unusual single digit max, “peaking” in the late morning hours while holding to the
northeasterly direction from yesterday. Barometric pressures were highest in the mid-morning hours while the lowest were in the early evening hours.

Partly cloudy to cloudy Sunday through Monday with highs in the mid-upper 80s and lows around 70 with low rain chances. Tuesday through Thursday look partly to mostly
sunny, dry and hotter, with highs in the low-mid 90s and lows in the low 70s.

Currently at 0151 AM EDT Sunday we have clear skies, a temperature of 73.3, barometer 29.89″ and steady, relative humidity 91%, dew point 71, winds S-SW       at 0-5 MPH. No rain so far has fallen since midnight into the tipping bucket VP2 gauge at the USG site across the street from me.

The attached image for today shows a very rainy parking lot with associated storm clouds at my Doctor’s office midday Wednesday (8/18) associated with our
tropical shower activity at that time.
