Monday maintained the latest cooling, damp trend we now have been under for a few days and will continue to the rest of the week. We peaked with our modest max temperature (81.4) of the day in the later mid afternoon through a mostly cloudy day, along with rising dew points which accompanied our occasional rain showers ((0.28″). The low temperature for the day (low 70s) was reached about an hour after sunrise.

The peak winds (23 MPH) increased to moderate levels, peaking in the evening while veering over to a more moist southwesterly direction. Barometric pressures were highest during the midday hour while the lowest were in the late afternoon during some of the shower activity.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies will predominate from Monday through Wednesday with shower/storm possibilities every day with highs in the low-mid 80s and lows in the low 70s. We possibly may be under the influence of the remnants of tropical system Fred midweek. Flood watches may have to be posted at times. Thursday and Friday look partly cloudy and drier, with slightly warmer temperatures up in the mid-upper 80s, and lows around 70 but with low rain chances.

Currently at 0205 AM EDT Tuesday we have cloudy skies, a temperature of 74.3, barometer 30.13″ and steady, relative humidity 96%, dew point 73, winds SE at 0-10 MPH. No rain has fallen since midnight into the tipping bucket VP2 gauge at the USG site across the street from me.

The attached image for today shows the approaching storm around 1545 on Friday (8/13) with the clouds building quickly out my apartment view, looking to the NE from Building B.
