WEST ROCKVILLE MARYLAND WEATHER UPDATE – TUESDAY AUGUST 3, 2021

Tuesday was another relatively pleasantly cool, partly to mostly cloudy day. We warmed up to the upper 70s once again by the later stage of the mid-afternoon time
period. The daily minimum temperature in the lower 60s was reached in the overnight early morning hours well before sunrise.

The peak winds (11 MPH) were quite light, “highest” in the mid afternoon, veering over to an easterly direction. Barometric pressures were highest in the mid morning while the lowest were in the later afternoon hours.

Wednesday should be cloudy and dry, with highs around 80 and lows around 60. Thursday and Friday should partly to mostly sunny with warmer temperatures reaching the 85-90 range and lows in the mid 60s. Saturday looks to be cloudy and warm with highs in the mid 80s and lows in the mid 60s with Sunday turning partly cloudy and a
bit warmer with highs around 90 and lows in the mid-upper 60s.

Currently at 1239 AM EDT Wednesday we have clear skies with a temperature of 65.6, barometer 30.10″ and steady, relative humidity 85%, dew point 61, winds calm. No rain has fallen since midnight into the tipping bucket VP2 gauge at the USG site across the street from me.

The attached image for today shows storm clouds building around 1600 on Thursday with rain sprinkling down a little bit outside of the entrance to my apartment building.
