WEST ROCKVILLE MARYLAND WEATHER UPDATE – WEDNESDAY JULY 28, 2021
Wednesday was a bit less hot than Tuesday with dew points lowering a bit into the 60s most of the day. We warmed up to the upper 80s by early mid-afternoon. The day
was predominately partly to mostly cloudy skies with evening thunderstorms featuring more of gusty winds, vivid lightning and loud thunder rather than heavy rain. The daily
minimum temperature around 70 was reached in the early morning just before sunrise.
The peak winds (33 MPH) were strong in the mid-evening thunderstorms, maintaining a northwesterly direction in the evening convective activity. Barometric pressures
were highest in the mid-evening thunderstorm activity while the lowest was only a few hours earlier in the early evening before the surprise storms moved in.
My birthday Thursday should be partly sunny, hot and humid with highs around 90 and lows around 70 with showers and storms, some possibly severe especially in the
early-mid evening. Friday and Saturday should be a bit cooler and dry, with highs in the mid 80s and lows in the upper 50s to low 60s. Sunday and Monday should cool
off a bit more, with low 80s for highs and low 60s for lows with a chance of late day showers on Sunday.
