Sunday was warmer and more humid, with highs reaching the upper 80s reached by mid-afternoon. Partly sunny skies predominated all day, with some buildups but did not yield any shower activity like yesterday. Minimum temps continued to rise with the lowest readings in the lower 70s, occurring in the early morning hours right around sunrise.

The winds stayed in the moderate range, again blowing in from the W, peaking in the mid- afternoon. Barometric pressures were quite muted once again, highest in the morning and lowest by late afternoon.

Partly cloudy skies on Monday through Wednesday but hot and dry with highs in the mid-upper 90s during the period with lows mostly in the low 70s. We definitely have a heat wave to close out the month of June. Heat looks to start breaking on Thursday with showers and storms likely, highs around 90, lows around 70 with more showers and storms and further cooling Friday with highs in the mid 80s and lows in the mid 60s.

Currently at 0350 AM EDT Monday we have clear skies with a temperature of 75.2, barometer 30.20″ and steady, relative humidity 89%, dew point 72, winds S-SW at 0-10 MPH. No rain has fallen since midnight into the tipping bucket VP2 gauge at the USG site across the street from me.
