WEST ROCKVILLE MARYLAND WEATHER UPDATE – FRIDAY JUNE 25, 2021

Friday was a bit warmer and more humid, especially during the later hours of the day, with highs around 80 reached in the later mid-afternoon period. Partly sunny skies
predominated all day, mostly puffy, fair-weather cumulus at times. Minimum temps remained relatively cool for one more day with the lowest readings in the upper 50s
occurring in the early morning hours just after sunrise.

The winds picked up a bit but were still pretty light, blowing in from the SW, peaking in the early afternoon. Barometric pressures were highest in the morning and lowest by later evening.

Partly cloudy skies on Saturday through midweek but dry with highs in the mid-upper 80s on Saturday, around 90 on Sunday and into the low-mid 90s later in the period
with lows mostly in the low 70s. Definitely a heat wave to close out the month of June heading into what is normally our hottest month of the year, July.

Today’s feature image showed a bit of Monday night’s post sunset westerly view past the rain gauge through some of the leftover clouds from the earlier evening thunderstorm.
