MARCH 1-10, 2020 – DRY, MILD START, COOLER, DRY MIDDLE OF PERIOD THEN QUITE MILD FINISH AT WEST ROCKVILLE MARYLAND
Continuing with the roughly 10 day shorter summaries to cover a general period of more or less similar weather patterns, a mixture of mild to warm beginning and end with a cooler middle period temperature-wise but quite dry throughout the period. We had only 0.21 inches total of rainfall during this period giving March quite a dry start. I now have 6.50 inches for the year through March 10. We had only 2 days with minimum temperatures at or below the freezing mark (extreme low 23.8 degrees on the 1st.) during this latest 10 day period. The highest temperature of this period was 76.2 degrees on the 9th.

There was very light precipitation through this period, and on the 8th and 9th very low dew points (10s and 20s) were experienced with the lowest of 8 degrees reached mid-afternoon on the 8th. So far this season I have a whopping 3.0 inches of snow with 0.0 inches in March so far with little hope fir the foreseeable future.
No severe weather was encountered this entire time period.
Cooler on Wednesday the 11th but remaining dry, Relatively cool and cloudy early on this Thursday morning, as the current temperature is 43.7 degrees at 0128. A gradual warm up into the weekend as it looks now but remaining pretty dry.
