My current downstairs station data is now showing regularly on Weather Underground. My data is posted there every 5 minutes. My ID is KMDROCKV200 and my station is called Gardens of Traville. Data is online, available in real-time as it is being updated on a 5 minute interval. The web address for my data on weather underground is
https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/KMDROCKV200 .
I contribute my precipitation data daily to CoCoRaHS as Rockville 2.8 WNW, Station ID MD-MG-115 and can be found on
http://www.cocorahs.org .
Please remember that my Weather Underground precipitation data reflects what is recorded automatically through the tipping bucket VP2 gauge, just as it does on WxLink 2.0. The tipping bucket has been producing erratic values on most days (when I have had rain that is) so should not be used except for general precipitation timing.
I actually use the data I post to CoCoRaHS from my 4 inch CoCoRaHS gauge I read manually as my official precipitation total each day.
Lots of Pro and College Football bowl games on TV watched, mostly in the evening. I got my ears cleared of lots of ear wax that was severely affecting my hearing at a Kaiser appointment on Monday. On New Years Eve I gathered with several of my apartment friends at the across the street great seafood restaurant “Nantucket Reef” for lunch to help ring in the New Year a bit early. I had some delicious seafood jambalaya and cream of crab soup along with a few great draft beers during the lunch. I met a few old friends there coincidentally. Good to get out on a partly cloudy, relatively mild day.
Friday and Saturday look cloudy with rain showers at times with high temps in the mid 50s and lows in the
40s on Friday dropping to the low to mid 30s on Saturday
Sunday looks a bit cooler but partly cloudy and dry with highs in the low 40s and lows around freezing.
I will detail next week when I post my report for New Years Day later.
At Midnight Tuesday, partly cloudy skies with a temperature of 41.7 degrees, relative humidity 66%, pressure rising at 29.69 inches with a dew point temperature of 31 degrees.
Currently at 0957 EST Thursday the temperature is 37.9 degrees under partly cloudy skies, relative humidity at 77%, barometric pressure steady at 29.95 inches, and the dew point temperature at 31 degrees. Winds are averaging 4 MPH over the past 10 minutes from the S. Peak wind gust since midnight has been 12 MPH from the SW at 0945.
Good morning from the walrus on this partly cloudy Thursday. Hope you all had a Happy New Years celebration, safe and sane as much as possible!!! Attached is a picture of some of my apartment friends at Nantucket Reef at our New Years Eve lunch Tuesday.
