Partly cloudy, gradually colder (particularly overnight), mostly dry update for Friday December 6, Saturday December 7 and Sunday December 8, 2019 from West Rockville Maryland
I had another brief hiatus over the long weekend due to a busy calendar of TV sports including a night at the bar to watch the Big 10 Championship Saturday night, so I have combined the past three days into this one post. I believe my computer problems are gone for now, but I had some TV technical issues that took some time and effort to fix.

My current downstairs station data is now showing regularly on Weather Underground. My data is posted there every 5 minutes. My ID is KMDROCKV200 and my station is called Gardens of Traville. Data is online, available in real-time as it is being updated on a 5 minute interval. The web address for my data on weather underground is: https://www.wunderground.com/personal-weather-station/dashboard?ID=KMDROCKV200
I contribute my precipitation data daily to CoCoRaHS as Rockville 2.8 WNW, Station ID MD-MG-115 and can be found on the web at https://www.cocorahs.org
Please remember that my Weather Underground precipitation data reflects what is recorded automatically through the tipping bucket VP2 gauge, just as it does on WxLink 2.0. The tipping bucket has been producing erratic values on most days (when I have had rain that is) so should not be used except for general precipitation timing.
I actually use the data I post to CoCoRaHS from my 4 inch CoCoRaHS gauge I read manually as my official precipitation total each day.
This three day period was full of mostly sports watching activity at times. The highlight was on Saturday evening as Wisconsin played Ohio State in the Big 10 Championship game in Indianapolis. Mike picked me up and I watched the game at La Mexicana in Germantown, being served by my daughter Tracy and entertained by many, including my friend Gregg, a dedicated Ohio State fan. I had most of the rest of my friends at the bar rooting with me for the Badgers. The first half of the game went surprisingly well, as the Badgers were winning 21-7 at halftime. But the second half was a different story, as we gave up 27 points and didn’t score any more, so the final score was Ohio State 34 Wisconsin 21. The result was that Ohio State got a 2nd place ranking in the College Football playoff, facing Clemson in late December in the Fiesta Bowl in Arizona. The Badgers will play Oregon in the Rose Bowl in California on New Year’s Day. I had some delicious steak fajitas at the bar, several Dos Equis bottles (Yeungling tap was messed up and not functioning), and many sides and appetizers. It was great to see Tracy again, having not seen her personally in a few months. On Sunday pro football had some great games, including the Ravens 24 Bills 17 game, the SF 48 NO 46 scoring fest, and Seattle’s loss to the Rams 28-12. I also watched some of the state high school playoff games which were specially telecast on News Channel 8.
