Seasonable high temperatures, mild low temperatures above the freezing mark, lots of clouds at times, light precipitation with even a bit of snow on Wednesday update for Tuesday, December 3, Wednesday December 4 and Thursday December 5, 2019 from West Rockville Maryland

I had another brief hiatus much of this past week with lots going on, so I have combined the past three days into this one post. My current downstairs station data is now showing regularly on Weather Underground. My data is posted there every 5 minutes. My ID is KMDROCKV200 and my station is called Gardens of Traville. Data is online, available in real-time as it is being updated on a 5 minute interval. The web address for my data on weather underground is: https://www.wunderground.com/personal-weather-station/dashboard?ID=KMDROCKV200

I contribute my precipitation data daily to CoCoRaHS as Rockville 2.8 WNW, Station ID MD-MG-115 and can be found on the web at https://www.cocorahs.org

Please remember that my Weather Underground precipitation data reflects what is recorded automatically through the tipping bucket VP2 gauge, just as it does on WxLink 2.0. The tipping bucket has been producing erratic values on most days (when I have had rain that is) so should not be used except for general precipitation timing.

I actually use the data I post to CoCoRaHS from my 4 inch CoCoRaHS gauge I read manually as my official precipitation total each day.

This three day period was full of activity at times. On Wednesday I was supposed to have an apartment inspection from management and the county but it was random, and my place was not chosen. But I prepared the place as much as I could, including vacuuming parts of the living room carpet and hardwood kitchen floor n the heavy traffic and heavy particulate matter areas, and also tried vacuuming my two recliners with carpet deodorizer and deep cleaner which was pretty successful. I cleared out a bunch of trash and recyclables, and put dishes and silverware away in drawers/closets as was suggested by the powers that be. I also got my Toshiba laptop powered up and with the great help of an ethernet cable the laptop got connected to the internet. I cantinued to work on the turkey leftovers, and finished them up Thursday night, with the remaining carcass and misc scraps put in a pot with a lot of veges, broth, rice, etc that is now officially a turkey rice soup. I watched a good part of the Bears 31-24 victory over the Cowboys from Chicago.

Today’s attached image taken early Thursday evening (1900) on the way to my weekly trivia game, shot at the very bright first quarter moon from above Building A where we played.

Good morning from the walrus on this quiet, calm Friday.
