Partly sunny, hotter, humid, dry update for Wednesday, May 29, 2019 from West Rockville Maryland
Wednesday started out warm, sunny and dry. Storms mostly stayed north up in Pennsylvania and northern Maryland. Temperatures really ramped up by the early afternoon, finally topping the 90° mark for the first time this year at my station. Humidity levels were high but about the same as on Tuesday. The evening remained rather warm and humid. Temperatures were around 70° in the early AM and rose to the 90 mark by the early afternoon. Dew point temperatures held around 70° to the low 70s in the AM, but gradually fell into the more comfortable low 60s by the late evening.
The maximum temperature was 90.2° at 1416.
The minimum temperature was 70.2° at 0646.
The dew point temperatures ranged from a high of 73° @ 0938 down to a low of 62° @ 2256.
The relative humidity values ranged from a high of 88% @ 0620 down to a low of 47% @ 1833.
The barometric pressure ranged from a high of 29.78″ @ 0652 down to a low of 29.65″ @ 1647.
No precipitation fell on Wednesday. May has a total rainfall of 6.13″. The year-to-date total is 20.18″.
My current online data (except for rainfall/snowfall – use the cocorahs link shown below for that dataset) is showing regularly on Weather Underground. My data is posted there every 5 minutes. My ID is KMDROCKV200 and my station is called “Gardens of Traville.” Data is online, normally just about in real-time now as it is being updated on a 5 minute interval. The web address for my data on weather underground is:
https://www.wunderground.com/personal-weather-station/dashboard?ID=KMDROCKV200
I contribute my precipitation data daily to CoCoRaHS as Rockville 2.8 WNW, Station ID MD-MG-115 on https://www.cocorahs.org/
Please remember that my Weather Underground precipitation data reflects what is recorded automatically through the tipping bucket VP2 gauge, just as it does on WxLink 2.0. The tipping bucket has been producing erratic values every day of late so should not be used except for general precipitation timing.
I actually use the data I post to CoCoRaHS from my 4 inch CoCoRaHS gauge I read manually as my “official” precipitation total each day.
