A partly sunny, warm, humid weather update for West Rockville Maryland for Thursday September 21 2017
Thursday was partly cloudy, warm and moderately humid once again. Temperatures rose to the lower 80s with lows in the mid 60s. Dew points varied a bit more today, reaching the 70° mark but staying in the 60s most of the day. Now at 0738 we have partly cloudy skies with temperatures in the upper 60s with dew points around 60°. The Thursday minimum temperature from the VP2 in the shelter on the ground below my balcony (64.1°) was recorded at 0343 while the maximum temperature (82.9°) was recorded at 1606. Dew point temps ranged from 61° to 70°. Relative humidity values were about the same as yesterday (92% – 57%). Barometric values raised a bit from yesterday, ranging from 30.07″ at 0926 down to 29.98″ at 0257.

I rose midday to meet Mike to get my refreshments for the trivia game later on in the day. Tracy called me on her way to work. I had a late breakfast of cereal and coffee. Then I went to the trivia game at 1830. My questions really went through fast, and I had to read some additional ones to the group from a trivia questions book. After the game I watched the Thursday night football game, a wild affair won by the LA Rams 41-39 over the SF 49ers. I baked some frozen crab cakes and cooked some broccoli cheddar rice a roni on the stove with sliced mushrooms added. I talked with Robin early on her way to work, without Gideon unfortunately. I also spoke with Ray several times during the day and evening about sports, music and the weather. I also caught up some on my email and facebook messaging at times during the evening. I had some prune juice and spicy low-sodium V8 juice right around dinner time, and plenty of water and vitamins throughout the evening.
We now have partly cloudy skies with temperatures in the upper 60s at 0738 Friday. Sunny skies with scattered cumulus clouds at times should dominate our weather Friday through Tuesday and beyond, with warm and moderately humid conditions. High temps should generally be in the mid-upper 80s with lows in the mid 60s. No sign of additional tropical activity from Hurricane Maria or Tropical Storm Jose, but they are still spinning out in the Atlantic Ocean not too far away. No significant tropical activity is expected to affect our area during the period.
On Weatherbug at 0738 the radar is still showing the circulation showers of now tropical storm Jose and approaching Maria well offshore of the mid-Atlantic and southern New England coastlines plus down off the Carolinas and Florida at this time.
