A partly sunny, warmer weather update for West Rockville Maryland for Wednesday September 20 2017
Wednesday was a partly cloudy, warmer day than Tuesday. Temperatures rose to the lower 80s with lows in the mid 60s. Dew points didn’t change much all day, very similar to yesterday, staying in the 60s all day. Now at 0638 we have mostly clear skies with temperatures in the low 60s with dew points around 60°. There is some fog being reported around the region but not at my location. The Wednesday minimum temperature from the VP2 in the shelter on the ground below my balcony (66.3°) was recorded at 0804 while the maximum temperature (83.2°) was recorded at 1543. Dew point temps remained flat all day similar to yesterday, ranging from 63° to 69°. Relative humidity values lowered some today (90% – 55%). Barometric values were a bit lower than yesterday, ranging from 29.99″ at 1003 down to 29.91″ at 0014.

I rose in the mid-afternoon as Tracy called me on her way to work at 1600. I had a late breakfast of cereal and coffee, along with a toasted bagel with salmon cream cheese later on. I worked on further processing of my August 2017 weather observations (EXCEL) bringing in parts of my monthly summary I wrote yesterday. I also put the finishing touches on my trivia questions for Thursday evening, printing out 19 one sided pages easily with my Canon printer. I took some time fixing dinner, making a beef stew from scratch that came out very well. Added carrots, onions, mushrooms, garlic and low sodium beef broth that made up the base for the stew. Took several hours to cook through completely. It was surprisingly yummy! I talked with Robin early on her way to work, without Gideon unfortunately. I also spoke with Marty for a while during my dinner hour over a variety of subjects. I also caught up some on my email and facebook messaging at times during the evening. I had some spicy low-sodium V8 juice right around dinner time, and plenty of water and vitamins throughout the evening.
We now have mostly clear skies with temperatures in the lower-mid 60s at 0638 Thursday. Sunny skies with scattered cumulus clouds at times should dominate our weather Thursday through Monday and beyond, with warm and moderately humid conditions. High temps should generally be in the mid 80s with lows around 60° on Friday but mid 60s on the other days. No sign of tropical activity from Hurricane Maria or Tropical Storm Jose coming close to this area. in the low-mid 60s. No tropical activity is expected to affect our area during the period. Maybe in about a week with Maria, but that is still a long shot and too far out right now to be very sure about that.
On Weatherbug at 0638 the radar is still showing the circulation showers of now tropical storm Jose well offshore of the NJ, NY, and southern New England coastlines at this time.
