A partly to mostly sunny, milder weather update for West Rockville Maryland for Tuesday September 19 2017
Tuesday was partly to mostly sunny and a bit warmer than Monday. Temperatures rose to the upper 70s with lows in the mid 60s. Dew points didn’t change much all day, very similar to yesterday, staying in the mid-upper 60s all day. Now at 0655 we have mostly cloudy skies with temperatures in the upper 60s with dew points in the lower 60s. The Tuesday minimum temperature from the VP2 in the shelter on the ground below my balcony (65.4°) was recorded at 0600 while the maximum temperature (79.3°) was recorded at 1602. Dew point temps remained flat all day similar to yesterday, ranging from 64° to 69°. Relative humidity values dropped a bit lower than yesterday (98% – 67%). Barometric values were lower than yesterday, ranging from 30.04″ at 0000 down to 29.90″ at 1957.

I started working on finishing up my August 2017 data spreadsheet and climate summary and statistics documents that I completed a few minutes ago and emailed on to the NJWO on their blog website and on email for the NJWO WEATHERSHELTER monthly publication. I talked with my friend Ray for a while later about the future tracks of Hurricanes Jose and Maria, which is now hitting Puerto Rico as a very dangerous Category 5 storm with 155-160 MPH winds.
We now have mostly cloudy skies with temperatures in the upper 60s at 0655 Wednesday. Sunny skies with scattered cumulus clouds at times should dominate our weather on Wednesday through Saturday and beyond, with warm and humid conditions, and highs in the low-mid 80s and lows in the low-mid 60s. No tropical activity is expected to affect our area during the period, and looking for at least the middle part of next week at the earliest time that that could happen, if it happens at all.
On Weatherbug at 0655 the radar is showing the circulation showers of now tropical storm Jose well offshore of the NJ, NY, and southern New England coastlines at this time.
