A partly to mostly sunny, comfortable and dry update for West Rockville Maryland for Saturday September 9 2017
Remember now you can get the ground-based VP2 data on Weatherlink. You can access the data through http://www.weatherlink.com/user/walrusman444
We now have clear skies with temperatures in the low 50s at 0743 Sunday. Sunday and Monday should be mostly sunny with only a few scattered clouds at times, highs in the low-mid 70s and lows in the low-mid 50s. The remnant rains of Irma should be skirting west of our area on Tuesday and Wednesday but still we should have high temps in the low-mid 70s under cloudy, rainy (40 POP on Tuesday and 70 POP on Wednesday) skies. Lows should be in the low 60s. Right now Irma will be heading up the west (Gulf of Mexico) side of FL with catastrophic storm surge, hurricane force winds, torrential rains and possible spin-up tornadoes in the heavier rain band areas. From Florida Irma will move inland/ northward into Georgia and weaken to Tropical Storm status and then into the Tennessee valley thereafter. So Irma’s affects on our immediate area should be minor and non-damaging at best. Still though stay tuned for updates.
On Weatherbug at 0743 the radar is clear in most of the Eastern United States save for the rains from Irma over much of Florida, stretching a bit into extreme southern SC, GA and AL at this time.
