WEST ROCKVILLE MARYLAND WEATHER UPDATE – SATURDAY NOVEMBER 6, 2021

Saturday was mostly sunny, dry and cool with light winds similar to yesterday. I reached into the low 50s for today’s high with dew points again in the 30s and upper 20s in the early morning. We peaked with our maximum temperature (53.5) of the day in the mid afternoon while the low temperature at 32.2, which rounds to my first freezing minimum for the season, was reached about 1 1/2 hours before sunrise with more frost.

The peak wind gust for the day (15 MPH) was light once again, “peaking” in the mid day hour, veering over to an E direction from yesterday. Barometric pressures were highest in the mid morning while the lowest was reached in the late evening just a few minutes before midnight.

At 2 AM Sunday, Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) leaves us for the next 4 months or so as we change over to Eastern Standard Time (EST) by turning our clocks back 1 hour. All my time references starting with Sunday’s report will be referenced to EST. If I use EST with this report I will so note it in each specific case.

Sunday should be partly to mostly sunny and dry with highs in the mid 50s and lows in the upper 30s. A gradual warmup should follow next week with highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s thereafter with sunny to partly sunny, dry conditions continuing.
