WEST ROCKVILLE MARYLAND WEATHER UPDATE – FRIDAY NOVEMBER 5, 2021

Friday was partly cloudy, dry and cool with light winds similar to yesterday. I reached just above 50 for today’s high with dew points again in the 30s falling into the upper
20s at times. We peaked with our maximum temperature (51.1) of the day in the mid afternoon while the low temperature in the mid 30s was reached a few minutes before
sunrise with scattered frost.

The peak wind gust for the day (15 MPH) was light once again, “peaking” in the early afternoon, maintaining a N direction from yesterday. Barometric pressures were
highest in the late morning while the lowest was reached in the early evening.

The weekend’s Saturday and Sunday should be partly to mostly sunny and dry with highs in the mid 50s and lows around freezing climbing to the upper 30s by Sunday.
A gradual warmup should follow next week with highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s therafter with dry conditions continuing.

Currently at 0159 AM EDT Saturday we have clear skies with a temperature of 35.5, barometer 30.42″ and steady, relative humidity 83%, dew point 31, winds E @ 0-5 MPH. No rain has fallen since midnight into the tipping bucket VP2 gauge at the USG site across the street from me.

The attached image for today shows our cloudy early evening around 1800 and our muted fall foliage exhibited on some of the trees out my bedroom window looking NE on Saturday afternoon (10/30).
