WEST ROCKVILLE MARYLAND WEATHER UPDATE – SATURDAY OCTOBER 9, 2021

My carpal tunnel/wrist discomfort arthritis problem continued today along with occasional back pain. I had to continue to treat it once again with rest and my wrist brace. I still encountered some discomfort most all day, and I must shorten this report again tonight somewhat to ease the discomfort of typing too much.

Saturday was mostly cloudy once again, mild with very similar statistics to the past 2 days for the other parameters. I reached the low 70s for today’s high with dew
points holding in the low-mid 60s all day. We peaked with our max temperature (70.9) of the day in the mid afternoon with the low temperature only down to the lower
mid 60s just before sunrise.

The peak wind gust for the day (15 MPH) was a bit higher than yesterday but still light, “peaking” in the late evening, veering around to an E direction from yesterday.
There is a coastal storm off the North Carolina coast presently that is moving NE off the coast that is bringing the E winds in a bit stronger overnight. Barometric
pressures were highest just before midday while the lowest was reached in the late afternoon.

Sunday looks to be the only possibly rainy day at all through Thursday, mainly in morning showers from that coastal LOW mentioned earlier. Partly to mostly cloudy
skies should hold Monday through Thursday. Highs through the period should remain in the 70s with lows in the low-mid 60s.

(Some) Statistics for Saturday:

High temp 70.9 at 1440

Low temp 63.4 at 0705

Peak Wind Gust (PWG) 15 MPH from the E at 2335

The attached image for today shows building cumulus congestus looking ENE out my bedroom window on Monday afternoon (10/04).
