WEST ROCKVILLE MARYLAND WEATHER UPDATE – THURSDAY AUGUST 26, 2021

Thursday was partly cloudy, hot and humid but with building cumulus in the later afternoon that developed into light convective evening activity with mostly muted
thunderclaps and minor lightning strikes that only yielded .01″ of very light rain. We reached right around the 90 mark for highs with dew points higher than
yesterday ranging up to the upper 70s. We peaked with our hot max temperature (89.5) of the day in the later mid-afternoon. The low temperature for the day (in the
low 70s) was reached in the early morning hours about an hour before sunrise.

The peak winds (25 MPH) lessened from yesterday but were still moderate in strength, peaking in the later mid-afternoon hours, veering way over to a easterly direction
from yesterday. Barometric pressures were highest in the late morning hours while the lowest were in the early evening hours as the weak storms were trying to build.

Friday through Monday looks to be slightly cooler with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s, but with greater chances for showers/storms on each day except for Sunday.
Partly cloudy skies should be in evidence for the most part, with lows each day around 70.
