WEST ROCKVILLE MARYLAND WEATHER UPDATE – TUESDAY AUGUST 24, 2021
Tuesday was mostly sunny all day, a rare treat, and quite warm and humid but dry, about as warm as Monday, reaching the upper 80s for highs but with dew points ranging from the upper 60s to mid 70s. We peaked with our very warm max temperature (88.5) of the day in the mid afternoon. The low temperature for the day (in the lower mid 70s) was reached just after sunrise.
The peak winds (16 MPH) lightened down from yesterday, “peaking” in the early afternoon hours, maintaining the northwesterly direction from yesterday. Barometric pressures were highest in the later evening hours while the lowest were in the very early morning hours at midnight.
Wednesday and Thursday look dry. hot and humid with highs in the low-mid 90s and lows in the low 70s. Friday looks similar in temps, but with greater chances for
showers/storms. Saturday looks partly cloudy/showery/stormy also, but cooling off on the max temps down to the mid-upper 80s and lows in the upper 60s. Sunday looks partly cloudy with highs in the mid 80s and lows in the mid-upper 60s.

No rain so far has fallen since midnight into the tipping bucket VP2 gauge at the USG site across the street from me.
