WEST ROCKVILLE MARYLAND WEATHER UPDATE – SUNDAY AUGUST 22, 2021
Sunday stayed mostly cloudy but basically dry, a bit cooler than Friday, reaching the tolerable lower mid 80s for highs but with dew points once again mostly in the low-mid 70s. We peaked with our moderate max temperature (82.6) of the day in the early afternoon time period. The low temperature for the day (in the low 70s) was reached just after sunrise. Traces of rain in sprinkles/drizzle were observed during the afternoon at times, probably distant, very weak spinoffs from tropical system Henri’s circulation.
The peak winds (13 MPH) picked up a bit from yesterday but were still quite light, “peaking” in the mid morning hours, veering over to a westerly direction around the weakening Henri circulation as it moves westward into Pennsylvania. Barometric pressures were highest in the mid-morning hours while the lowest were in the very early morning/overnight hours.
Partly cloudy Monday with highs around 90 and lows around 70 with low rain chances. Tuesday through Friday look partly to mostly sunny, dry and hotter, with highs in the low-mid 90s and lows in the low 70s.
