WEST ROCKVILLE MARYLAND WEATHER UPDATE – SUNDAY AUGUST 15, 2021
Sunday was another transitional day out of our modest 6 day hot spell into a cooler period ahead. We peaked with our modest max temperature (80.8) of the day
in the mid afternoon just ahead of a cloudier but dry evening period, along with gradually lowering dew points, reached during the early morning. The day
was partly cloudy, generally speaking, with some light overnight showers (0.09″)
The peak winds (16 MPH) lessened some more, peaking very early in the morning while veering over to a northeasterly direction. Barometric pressures were highest
in the early morning while the lowest were in the early morning, overhight hours.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies will predominate from Monday through Thursday with shower/storm possibilities every day with highs in the low-mid 80s and lows in
the mid-upper 60s. We possibly may be under the influence of the remnants of tropical system Fred towards the end of this coming week. Flood watches may have to be posted at times.
