WEST ROCKVILLE MARYLAND WEATHER UPDATE – SATURDAY AUGUST 14, 2021
Saturday was the transitional day out of our modest 6 day hot spell into a cooler, wetter period ahead. We peaked with our modest max temperature (86.6) of the day in the late afternoon just ahead of a cloudier but dry evening period, along with still moderately high dew points, reached during the midday time period. The day was partly cloudy, generally speaking
The peak winds (20 MPH) lessened some peaking midday while veering a bit over to a northwesterly direction. Barometric pressures were highest in the late evening while the lowest were in the early evening hours.
Sunday should cool down some more, with highs in the low 80s and lows in the mid 60s with partly cloudy and dry skies on Sunday but with shower/storm possibilities under cloudier skies returning on Monday. Tuesday through Friday follow suit with Monday’s cloudiness and shower/storm chances with highs in the low 80s and lows in the mid 60s. We possibly may be under the influence of the remnants of tropical system Fred during this upcoming week.
