WEST ROCKVILLE MARYLAND WEATHER UPDATE – SATURDAY AUGUST 7, 2021
Saturday gave us the predicted one day respite from the heating up process as clouds from a weak coastal storm passed tp the East and kept a lid on the high temps for the day under the cloudy but dry skies here. We only warmed up to the upper mid 70s by late morning. The daily minimum temperature in the upper mid 60s was reached in the early morning hours a bit after sunrise. It remained dry here all day as rain fell just to my east at times.
The peak winds (15 MPH) were rather light despite this “coastal storm”, “highest” in the early afternoon while veering over to the south at that time but predominately blowing in an easterly direction from the weak flow from the storm during most of the day. Barometric pressures were highest at the very start of the day while the lowest were in the early evening.
Sunday and Monday should be partly cloudy and very warm with highs in the upper 80s to around 90 with lows in the upper 60s with little chances of rain. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday should be partly sunny, hot and humid with highs in the mid 90s and lows in the low 70s with chances of showers and/or storms each day.
