WEST ROCKVILLE MARYLAND WEATHER UPDATE – WEDNESDAY AUGUST 4, 2021
Wednesday was yet another relatively pleasantly cool, partly to mostly cloudy day. We warmed up to the upper 70s to just short of 80 once again by the later stage of the mid-afternoon time period. The daily minimum temperature in the mid 60s was reached in the overnight very early morning hours about an hour after midnight.
The peak winds (16 MPH) were still light but increased some from yesterday, “highest” in the early afternoon, maintaining an easterly direction. Barometric pressures were highest in the mid morning while the lowest were in the early morning hours about an hour before sunrise.
Thursday and Friday should partly to mostly sunny with warmer temperatures reaching the mid 80s on Thursday and low 90s on Friday with lows in the mid-upper 60s. Saturday looks to be cloudy and warm with highs in the mid 80s and lows in the mid 60s with chances of showers and storms increasing. Sunday and Monday should be partly cloudy and very warm with highs in the low 90s and lows around 70 with little chances of rain. .

Currently at 0124 AM EDT Thursday we have clear skies with a temperature of 65.2, barometer 30.12″ and steady, relative humidity 84%, dew point 60, winds calm. No rain has fallen since midnight into the tipping bucket VP2 gauge at the USG site across the street from me.
The attached image for today shows storm clouds building around 1600 on Thursday with rain sprinkling down a little bit outside of the entrance to my apartment building.
