Sunday was a pleasantly cool start to the month of August helped out by considerable amounts of clouds through mid-afternoon with late morning to early afternoon light rainfall (0.30″) and then late afternoon slow clearing extending through the evening. We only warmed up to the mid 70s by early evening under the late day sun. The daily minimum temperature in the upper mid 60s was reached in the very late evening hours around midnight.

The peak winds (21 MPH) were light to moderate all day, strongest in the mid evening, maintaining yesterday’s westerly direction. Barometric pressures were highest in the very early morning while the lowest were in the early evening hours.

Monday should be sunny, Tuesday cloudy, and Wednesday partly cloudy and dry, with highs in the low 80s and lows in the low-mid 60s. Thursday may bring us some more rain with moderate temperatures continuing with highs around 80 and lows in the mid 60s.

Currently at 0210 AM EDT Monday we have clear skies with a temperature of 64.3, barometer 29.92″ and steady, relative humidity 92%, dew point 62, winds NE-ENE at 0-5 MPH. No rain has fallen since midnight into the tipping bucket VP2 gauge at the USG site across the street from me.

The attached image for today shows storm clouds building around 1600 on Thursday with rain sprinkling down a little bit outside of the entrance to my apartment building.
