WEST ROCKVILLE MARYLAND WEATHER UPDATE – MONDAY JULY 26, 2021
Monday was hotter than Sunday with dew points high again, about the same as yesterday, in the uncomfortable 70s most of the day. We warmed up to the low 90s by later mid-afternoon. The day featured partly cloudy skies, the high dew points and threatening looking clouds in the late afternoon which would yield strong storms with downed trees and some power outages elsewhere in the region but not here. The daily minimum temperature in the low 70s was reached in the early morning just before sunrise.
The winds were about the same as yesterday, veering to an easterly direction in the evening, peaking in the early evening. Barometric pressures were highest in the evening hours while the lowest was in the late afternoon.
Tuesday through Saturday should be partly to mostly sunny, hot and humid with highs in the low 90s through Wednesday then cooling into the mid 80s thereafter with lows in the upper 60s to around 70 through Thursday but then cooling down to the low 60s on Friday and Saturday. There looks to be no real chances of showers and storms through the period.
