WEST ROCKVILLE MARYLAND WEATHER UPDATE – WEDNESDAY JULY 21, 2021
Wednesday was a bit cooler due to more clouds and light showers in the late afternoon and smoky haze partially obscuring the skies earlier in the day. We warmed up to the mid 80s in the early afternoon. The day featured partly sunny, hazy/smoky skies at times, with clearing skies in the evening after a cold frontal passage. The daily minimum temperature in the lower 70s was reached in the late evening just before midnight. The smoke continued to blow in from the wildfires out West.
The winds picked up significantly from the frontal passage, veering to a cooling off northerly direction, peaking mid afternoon. Barometric pressures were highest in the late evening while the lowest was in the later mid-afternoon.
Thursday looks to be pleasant with partly cloudy with highs in the mid 80s and lows in the upper 60s. Friday and Saturday should be partly cloudy and slightly warmer with highs in the upper 80s and lows in the lower 70s. Sunday should be partly sunny and hotter with highs in the lower 90s and lows in the low 70s with a 30 POP for scattered thunderstorms.
