WEST ROCKVILLE MARYLAND WEATHER UPDATE – THURSDAY JUNE 24, 2021
Thursday was another pleasantly cooler than normal day with highs in the upper mid 70s reached in the later mid-afternoon period. Partly sunny skies predominated all day, mostly puffy, fair-weather cumulus at times. Minimum temps also remained comfortably cool today with the lowest readings in the mid 50s occurring in the early morning hours just after sunrise.
The winds picked up a wee bit but were still light, blowing in from the SE, peaking in the early afternoon. Barometric pressures were highest around midday and lowest by early evening.
Friday should start a slight (at first) warm up with partly cloudy skies and highs in the upper 70s, lows in the mid 50s, then partly cloudy skies on Saturday through Monday but dry with highs in the upper 80s early to low-mid 90s later in the period with lows mostly in the lower 70s.

Today’s feature image showed a bit of Monday night’s post sunset westerly view past the rain gauge through some of the leftover clouds from the earlier evening thunderstorm.
