WEST ROCKVILLE MARYLAND WEATHER UPDATE – SATURDAY MAY 22 AND SUNDAY MAY 23, 2021

Saturday was mostly cloudy with warmer max temps (mid 80s) than Friday with lows a bit higher (upper 50s), reached at normal times during the 24 hour day. The winds picked up a bit from the NW direction. Barometric pressure continued its fall after Friday’s rather high reading.

Sunday was partly cloudy with warmer max temps (around 90) than Saturday with lows also higher (upper 60s), reached at normal times during the calendar day. The winds picked up appreciably from the W direction, which brought in the heat. The rounded high temperature of 90 is the warmest of the season so far and my first 90 max of the year. Barometric pressures continued to lower from the earlier in the week’s lofty levels. .

Monday will be cooler with clouds and occasional showers and a rumble of thunder possible with max temps in the low 70s. Lows look to be in the upper 50s to lower 60s. Tuesday should be partly cloudy and warmer with highs in the low 80s and lows in the 60s. Wednesday should be the hottest day of the week with highs in the low 90s and lows around 70 with partly cloudy skies and the threat of showers/storms. Thursday should be partly cloudy and not as hot with highs in the 80s and lows in the 60s. Friday and Saturday look to be noticeably cooler with clouds and showers, highs coming down into the 70s and lows in the 50s, depending on how a frontal boundary sets up in our area. Stay tuned for further updates on a changeable weather pattern over the Memorial Day weekend.
