WEATHER UPDATE – FRIDAY APRIL 30, 2021 – WEST ROCKVILLE MARYLAND
Friday was partly cloudy and cooler with lows in the upper 40s right at midnight and highs in the upper 60s, reached by mid-afternoon. Occasional trace amounts of sprinkles occurred out of the blustery sky at times during the day. Very strong NW winds howled behind the strong cold frontal passage. Today’s PWG of 59 MPH is my highest recorded wind gust of the year and one of my highest ever.
Breezes should slowly abate during the day on Saturday as we start the month of May. Sunny conditions should predominate with highs around 70 and lows in the mid 40s.
On Sunday and Tuesday partly to mostly cloudy conditions should be the norm with warmth returning, highs in the mid 80s and lows in the low 60s.
Showers and clouds should dominate on Monday, still warm, with highs in the upper 70s and lows in the low-mid 60s.
