Another sunny, dry day with seasonable temperatures update for Monday, November 4 2019 from West Rockville Maryland

Another calm, sunny, dry day with very similar temperatures than yesterday came in on Monday. High temperatures on Monday were once again in the upper mid 50s, after a chilly early AM low in the mid 30s, but with a milder evening only dropping down into the mid 30s. Dew point temperatures  rose slowly all day, from the low 30s at the beginning to the low 40s by the end of the day.

The maximum temperature was 57.7 degrees at 1435.

The minimum temperature was 35.4 degrees at 0059.

The dew point temperatures ranged from a low of 31 degrees @ 0054 up to a high of 42 degrees @ 2353.

The relative humidity values ranged from a high of 88% @ 0153 down to a low of 42% @ 1401.

The barometric pressure ranged from a high of 30.40 inches @ 0806 down to a low of 30.26 inches @ 1722.

The highest daily peak wind gust recorded across the street on the roof of the new USG building was 26 MPH that was recorded at 1528 from the S. Please remember that this anemometer is at a non-standard height of 60 feet above ground level (AGL), which can cause greater wind speeds than at the standard 33 feet AGL.

There was no precipitation on Monday. My November monthly total is still 0.00 inches. The year-to-date total is 44.57 inches.

My current downstairs station data is now showing regularly on Weather Underground. My data is posted there every 5 minutes. My ID is KMDROCKV200 and my station is called Gardens of Traville. Data is online, available in real-time as it is being updated on a 5 minute interval. The web address for my data on weather underground is: https://www.wunderground.com/personal-weather-station/dashboard?ID=KMDROCKV200

I contribute my precipitation data daily to CoCoRaHS as Rockville 2.8 WNW, Station ID MD-MG-115 and can be found on the web at https://www.cocorahs.org

Please remember that my Weather Underground precipitation data reflects what is recorded automatically through the tipping bucket VP2 gauge, just as it does on WxLink 2.0. The tipping bucket has been producing erratic values on most days (when I have had rain that is) so should not be used except for general precipitation timing.

I actually use the data I post to CoCoRaHS from my 4 inch CoCoRaHS gauge I read manually as my official precipitation total each day.

Monday was a laid back day spent on the phone with Comcast for quite a while in the morning, getting my remote fixed up with a reboot from their nice customer service rep, and learning about more sophisticated functions from the now functional remote to access my voice mail and set up parameters on some features I didn’t know how to do before.  I had some shredded wheat and bananas with milk for late breakfast, and later for dinner a big mixed salad and some delicious porcini mushroom bisque to warm the inside a bit. By mid-evening I received my much needed food order from Safeway through the same Shipt employee as I had in my previous order. I also got my second hearing aid (left ear) from FedEx in the afternoon, and have them operational once again, and the Hallmark movies I had been having trouble hearing are now coming through loud and clear.

Tuesday should moderate some, with partly cloudy skies and highs in the low 60s and lows in the upper 30s.

Wednesday should be sunny with highs in the mid 50s and lows in the upper 30s.

Thursday should be cloudy with highs around 60 and mid 30s for lows with rain showers ahead of another strong cold front.

Friday will turn cold once again, with highs in the low 40s and lows in the mid 20s with partly cloudy, blustery conditions.

Saturday should be mostly sunny and cold, with highs in the mid 40s and lows around 30.

Sunday should be partly cloudy and seasonable, with highs in the low-mid 50s and lows in the low-mid 30s.

At Midnight Monday, mostly clear skies with a temperature of 46.2 degrees, relative humidity 86%, pressure falling at 30.27 inches with a dew point temperature of 42 degrees. Winds averaged 3 MPH from the S.

Currently at 0639 EST the temperature is 39.6 degrees under partly cloudy skies, relative humidity at 92%, barometric pressure steady at 30.23 inches, and the dew point temperature at 38 degrees. Winds are averaging 2 MPH over the past 10 minutes from the SW.  Peak wind gust since midnight has been 9 MPH from the S at 0010.

Good morning from the walrus on this partly cloudy November Tuesday. Today’s featured image is not a reflection of the fall colors around here right now, but of earlier in the month conditions up in Vermont.
