I will try to post a brief summary of the missing days here in October sometime soon, but for now I want to just update the precipitation amounts on days it actually rained from October 7 through October 25. I am adding a day on October 13.

On Saturday, we had dry conditions for the most part, only excepted by some trace amounts of rain during the evening as best I can determine. It was mostly cloudy all day, and with the clouds the max and min temp for the day were muted, with highs in the low 60s and lows in the mid 50s.  Dew point temperatures rose from upper mid 40s early in the morning to the mid 50s by late evening as most moist air started to come in to the region. 

The maximum temperature was 61.8 degrees at 1345.

The minimum temperature was 55.3 degrees at 0122.

The dew point temperatures ranged from a low of 47 degrees @ 0715 up to a high of 55 degrees @ 2207.

The relative humidity values ranged from a high of 91% @ 0137 down to a low of 65% @ 1106.

The barometric pressure ranged from a high of 30.26 inches @ 1106 down to a low of 30.12 inches @ 2344.

The highest daily wind recorded across the street on the roof of the new USG building was 15 MPH that was recorded at 2320 from the S. Please remember that this anemometer is at a non-standard height of 60 feet above ground level (AGL), which can cause greater wind speeds than at the standard 33 feet AGL. 

There was a trace of precipitation on Friday so the October monthly total is 2.99 inches. The year-to-date total is 41.24 inches.

Please remember that my Weather Underground precipitation data reflects what is recorded automatically through the tipping bucket VP2 gauge, just as it does on WxLink 2.0. The tipping bucket has been producing erratic values on most days (when I have had rain that is) so should not be used except for general precipitation timing.

I actually use the data I post to CoCoRaHS from my 4 inch CoCoRaHS gauge I read manually as my official precipitation total each day.

Sunday should be mostly cloudy and warmer with rain showers and possibly thunderstorms as remnants of post tropical storm Olga invade the area with highs in the mid 70s and lows in the upper 40s.

Monday should be sunny and mild, with highs around 70 degrees and lows in the lower 50s.

Tuesday should be partly to mostly cloudy and seasonable with highs in the mid 60s and lows in the low 50s.

On Wednesday it should be cloudy and seasonably mild, with highs in the upper 60s and lows in the upper mid 50s.

On Thursday it looks to be cloudy and showery with highs in the mid 60s and lows around 60 degrees.

Friday, cloudy once again with showers and highs in the mid 60s, then a cold front comes through in the evening, clearing skies with lows dropping down in the upper 30s. 

On Midnight Saturday, I observed cloudy skies with a temperature of 58.4 degrees, relative humidity 88%, pressure falling at 30.12 inches with a dew point temperature of 55 degrees. Winds were averaging 4 MPH from the E.

Currently at 0649 Sunday morning the temperature is 61.1 degrees under cloudy, lightly rainy skies, relative humidity at 95%, barometric pressure falling at 29.85 inches, and the dew point temperature at 60 degrees. Winds are averaging 6 MPH over the past 10 minutes from the SE. Peak wind gust since midnight has been 18 MPH from the E at 0457.  So far my unofficial tipping bucket down at ground level below my apartment has recorded 0.26 inches since midnight. Please wait for my final midnight cocorahs reading taken tonight at midnight for the official rainfall amount for the day. 

Good morning from the walrus on this cloudy, lightly raining, increasingly humid Sunday. Today’s attached image shows more of the new mulching and planting that went on around my rain gauge early last week. Marty actually moved the rain gauge a bit on Friday, and trimmed some of the branches to let the rain come through to the rain gauge as it started to overgrow a bit. More pictures will follow in the coming days.
