Partly sunny, warmer, more humid update for Sunday, May 26, 2019 from West Rockville Maryland

Sunday was partly cloudy, warmer, and more humid. Temperatures were in the mid 60s in the early AM and rose to the upper mid 80s by mid afternoon, not quite making it to the magical 90° mark. Dew point temperatures rose from the mid 60s in the very early AM hours into the low 70s by late morning before dropping back into the mid-upper 60s in the evening.  Scattered light showers fell in the region but as far as I know not measurably at my station.

The maximum temperature was 87.2° at 1631.

The minimum temperature was 66.5° at 0605.

The dew point temperatures ranged from a low of 65° @ 0212 up to a high of 73° @ 1113.

The relative humidity values ranged from a high of 96% @ 0701 down to a low of 55% @ 1540.

The barometric pressure ranged from a high of 30.04″ @ 0910 down to a low of 29.90″ @ 2022.

There was no measurable precipitation falling on Sunday. May has a total rainfall of 5.20″. The year-to-date total is 19.25″.

My current online data (except for rainfall/snowfall – use the cocorahs link shown below for that dataset) is showing regularly on Weather Underground. My data is posted there every 5 minutes. My ID is KMDROCKV200 and my station is called “Gardens of Traville.” Data is online, normally just about in real-time now as it is being updated on a 5 minute interval. The web address for my data on weather underground is:
https://www.wunderground.com/personal-weather-station/dashboard?ID=KMDROCKV200

I contribute my precipitation data daily to CoCoRaHS as Rockville 2.8 WNW, Station ID MD-MG-115 on https://www.cocorahs.org/

Please remember that my Weather Underground precipitation data reflects what is recorded automatically through the tipping bucket VP2 gauge, just as it does on WxLink 2.0. The tipping bucket has been producing erratic values every day of late so should not be used except for general precipitation timing.

I actually use the data I post to CoCoRaHS from my 4 inch CoCoRaHS gauge I read manually as my “official” precipitation total each day.

Memorial Day Monday looks partly cloudy and not as warm, with highs in the low 80s and lows in the mid 60s.

On Wednesday partly cloudy with high temps in the upper 80s and lows around 70°,

Thursday should be mostly cloudy, humid and hotter, with highs in the low 90s and lows in the upper 60s.

Friday should be partly cloudy and not as warm, with highs in the low-mid 80s and lows in the low 60s.

Midnight Sunday recorded a temperature of 73.4°, relative humidity 77%, pressure steady at 29.94″ and a dew point temperature of 66° under partly cloudy skies.

Currently at 0502 the temperature is 68.5° under fair skies , relative humidity at 89%, barometric pressure steady at 29.94″, and the dew point at 65°.

Good early morning from the walrus in the middle of this Memorial Day weekend early on Memorial Day Monday. I saw some firewarks out my SE window this evening from the Rockville Hometown Holidays celebration in downtown Rockville around 2100.
