You can get my VP2 data on Weatherlink. I have migrated over to Weatherlink 2.0 so I have a new link for my data. You can now access the data through:

I am posting daily to weather underground. My ID is KMDROCKV200 and my station is called “Gardens of Traville.” Data is online, normally just about in real-time. The web address for my data on weather underground is:

I contribute daily to CoCoRaHS as Rockville 2.8 WNW, Station ID MD-MG-115 on https://www.cocorahs.org/
Please remember that Weather Underground precipitation data reflects what is recorded automatically through the tipping bucket VP2 gauge. I actually use the data I post to CoCoRaHS from my 4″ CoCoRaHS gauge I read manually as my “official” precipitation total each day.
Wednesday had no rain. October 2018 has 1.39″ of rainfall at my location with my year-to-date precipitation at 49.81″.
Wednesday was mostly sunny and cooler, with highs in the upper-low 50s and lows around 40°. No frost early on Wednesday morning.
Thursday should be mostly sunny and cool, with highs in the mid 50s and lows in the upper 30s.
Friday should turn cloudy with an 80 POP for PM rain as a complex storm moves in for Friday and Saturday containing some remnants of Hurricane Willa, now currently out in the lower Great Plains. It should continue to travel east and evolve into a nor’easter off the coast and then move into our area. Cooler on Friday with low 50s for highs, mid 40s for lows which will be quite chilly during the rainy periods.
Saturday should be cloudy and cool with a 70 POP for mostly AM rain, with highs in the low 50s and lows in the low 40s. This track appears to be mostly final, with a possible 1-3 inches of rain out of the storm.
Sunday looks to remain cloudy with highs in the upper 50s and lows in the mid 40s and only a 20 POP for rain. Monday should be partly cloudy and continued cool with highs in the mid 50s and lows in the upper 30s and a 50 POP for AM showers.
Currently at 0606 the temperature is 35.5°, dew point temperature 31°, relative humidity 83%, and barometric pressure at 30.26″ and steady.
Fall color has been popping out locally the past few days. Today’s featured image features a shot of the sky about 1430 looking to the west from the Gaithersburg Kaiser Medical Facility parking lot, with plenty of fair weather cumulus dotting the sky.
Currently the sky is clear and temperatures are chilly with scattered areas of frost.
Good morning from the Walrus early on this Thursday.
