I am posting daily to weather underground. My ID is KMDROCKV200 and my station is called “Gardens of Traville.” Data is online, normally just about in real-time. The web address for my data on weather underground is:

I contribute daily to cocorahs as Rockville 2.8 WNW, Station ID MD-MG-115 on https://www.cocorahs.org/

Please remember that Weather Underground precipitation data reflects what is recorded automatically through the tipping bucket VP2 gauge.  I actually use the data I post to cocorahs from my 4″ cocorahs gauge I read manually as my “official” precipitation total each day.

September monthly precipitation has risen to 8.30″ with my year-to-date precipitation now at 46.38″. More rain on Wednesday and Thursday is expected, so these totals will be going up before the month closes out. .

Occasional light drizzle has been falling with light fog at times early on this Wednesday morning, accompanied by muggy low 70s temps and dew points. Later on partly cloudy skies with a 90 POP for PM thunderstorms, some possibly severe somewhere in the region, with high temps into the muggy low 80s,  lows in the upper 50s late after the cold front passes through and temps start dropping. Thursday should be cooler (only topping out in the mid 60s, lows in the mid 50s) and cloudy with a 50 POP for showers. Right now Friday looks like a 50 POP for AM showers, then dry the rest of the day, highs in the low-mid 70s and lows in the mid 50s. Saturday should be partly cloudy and pleasant, with highs in the low-mid 70s and lows in the lower 50s. Sunday should wrap up the month of September on a dry, pleasant note with mostly sunny skies, high temps around 70° and lows in the mid 50s.

Currently at 0803 the temperature is 71.1°, dew point temperature 71°, relative humidity 98%, barometric pressure at 30.03″ and steady.

Currently I have cloudy skies, mild temperatures with some breaks that the sun is occasionally filtering through, much like I observed Tuesday afternoon on my way back home from the Doctor’s. See today’s featured image to see somewhat of what the sky looked like Tuesday afternoon and also this Wednesday morning.

Good morning from the Walrus on this mostly cloudy, damp Wednesday.

Kevin
