Another partly cloudy, warm, humid weather update for West Rockville Maryland for Sunday September 17 2017
Sunday continued the pattern of warm, partly cloudy skies. Temperatures rose to the upper 70s with lows in the mid 60s. Dew points reached 70° but were in the 60s most of the day. Now at 0504 we have cloudy skies with temperatures in the mid 60s with dew points also in the mid 60s. No fog being observed yet but it might yet develop as it did this morning rather quickly around 0700, especially with the air and dew point temperature coming very close together. The Sunday minimum temperature from the VP2 in the shelter on the ground below my balcony (64.9°) was recorded at 0422 while the maximum temperature (79.4°) was recorded at 1720. Dew point temps remained rather flat similar to yesterday, ranging from 64° to 71°. Relative humidity values were a bit higher than yesterday with the fog (98% – 65%). Barometric values were a bit lower than yesterday, ranging from 30.06″ at 1725 up to 30.16″ at 0951.
Remember now you can get the ground-based VP2 data on Weatherlink. You can access the data through http://www.weatherlink.com/user/walrusman444
We now have mostly cloudy skies with temperatures in the mid 60s at 0504 Monday. Monday should feature partly cloudy skies with high temps in the upper 70s with lows in the lower-mid 60s and a 20 POP for rain. On Tuesday sunny with scattered clouds at times with highs in the upper 70s and lows in the mid 60s with only a 20 POP for rain as Hurricane Jose appears to be tracking further out to sea and minimizing its effects in our immediate area. Scattered fair weather clouds should continue to dominate our weather on Wednesday and Thursday, with warm and humid conditions, and highs in the low-mid 80s and lows in the lower mid 60s.
On Weatherbug at 0504 the radar is showing showers offshore of the Carolinas from Hurricane Jose and also a few small areas over parts of Michigan and Indiana at this time.
As of 0504 EDT, the data from the VP2 (coming from the ground radiation shield about 4 feet off the ground just under and out from the balcony), the Lakewood WXBug station and the USG VP2 station across the street are as follows :
