A mostly sunny, cool, dry update for West Rockville Maryland for Friday October 27 2017

Friday was a mostly sunny, cool and dry day. Temperatures warmed from chilly early AM minimums in the 30s to the low 60s in the mid afternoon. Temps didn’t drop as much as yesterday in the evening, remaining in the 50s. Dew points rose a bit today, ranging from the mid 30s up to the upper 40s. Now at 0753 we have clear, dry skies. Temperatures are in the upper 40s with dew points in the mid 40s. The Friday minimum temperature from the VP2 (37.9°) was recorded at 0551 while the maximum temperature (61.6°) was recorded at 1709. Dew point temps ranged from 49° down to 36°. Relative humidity values rose a bit today (94% – 58%). Barometric values rose a bit today from yesterday’s readings, ranging from a low of 30.03″ at 0003 up to a high of 30.12″ at 0908.

Remember now you can get the VP2 data on Weatherlink. You can access the data through http://www.weatherlink.com/user/walrusman444. I am also now on weather underground. My ID is KMDROCKV200 and my station is called “Gardens of Traville.” Data is online, normally just about in real-time.

I got my Walmart.com and Amazon.com orders delivered in the mid-afternoon, and I got a headlamp that I will use to help me read my rain gauge at night without tying up a hand to hold the light as I had been doing.

We now have a clear sky with scattered high cirrus clouds at 0753 Saturday with temps in the upper 40s. Saturday should be partly sunny with highs around 70° and lows in the mid 50s. Clouding up Saturday night with light rain developing overnight. Cloudy and much cooler with a 90 POP for rain for Sunday, with highs in the upper 50s and lows in the lower 40s. There is the likelihood of 1-2 inches of rain falling on Sunday. Monday should remain cool with highs in the upper 50s and lows in the lower 40s, but with mostly sunny skies to allow us to dry out for the trick or treaters on Tuesday. Halloween Tuesday does look to stay cool but dry under partly cloudy skies and highs in the lower 60s and lows in the upper 30s for good “Trick or Treat” conditions.

On Weatherbug at 0753 the radar is showing a line of showers running NNE to SSW through OH, KY, TN and points south, with a bit of snow on the back western edge of the line. Numerous places in the upper midwest had their first snow of the season on Friday.

As of 0753 EDT, the data from the VP2 (coming from the ground radiation shield about 4 feet off the ground just under and out from the balcony) and the Lakewood WXBug station are as follows :
