A sunny, mild, dry fall day update for West Rockville Maryland for Saturday October 21 2017

Saturday continued the sunny, mild pattern into the weekend. Temperatures were in the upper-mid 40s in the early AM, rising to the lower 70s in the mid afternoon. Dew points lowered a bit today, ranging from the low 50s down to the mid 40s. Now at 0826 we have clear skies with some high clouds that must be the early forerunner of our upcoming rain late Monday into Tuesday. Temperatures are in the upper 40s with dew points in the upper-mid 40s. The Saturday minimum
temperature from the VP2 (47.4°) was recorded at 0644 while the maximum temperature (71.3°) was recorded at 1513. Dew point temps ranged from 53° down to 44°. Relative humidity values lowered a bit today (94% – 41%). Barometric values rose from yesterday’s values, ranging from 30.27″ at 0000 up to 30.38″ at 1112.

Remember now you can get the VP2 data on Weatherlink. You can access the data through http://www.weatherlink.com/user/walrusman444. I am also now on weather underground. My ID is KMDROCKV200 and my station is called “Gardens of Traville.” Data is online, normally just about in real-time.

We now have a clear sky with a partial high cloud overcast at 0826 Sunday with temps in the mid-upper 40s. Sunday should be mostly sunny with perhaps a few scattered clouds, highs in the mid 70s and lows in the mid-upper 50s. Outlook for early in the week is for increasing clouds and still mild on Monday with highs in the mid 70s and lows in the low 60s, then a 60 POP for rain showers on Tuesday with highs around 70° and lows in the lower 50s as a strong cold front moves through the area late in the day. Partly sunny and cool on Wednesday with highs in the low 60s and lows in the low 40s. Similar conditions on Thursday with highs a bit cooler, in the upper 50s and lows around 40°.

On Weatherbug at 0826 the radar is clear throughout the Eastern U.S. including Florida at this time. The nearest rain I see is in a building line of rain showers out in the Eastern Plains/Midwest, running up from Texas through Arkansas, Missouri, Iowa and Wisconsin, moving eastward.
