A mostly cloudy, warm, humid and rainy AM weather update for West Rockville Maryland for Monday October 9 2017

Monday was mostly cloudy, quite warm and humid, with morning steady light rain (0.56″) from dying tropical storm Nate with dew point temperatures mostly in the 70s all day. Temperatures rose from the muggy low 70s in the early AM to the muggy low 80s in the afternoon among slowly decreasing clouds. Dew points ranged from the upper 70s most of the day down to the upper 60s in the late evening. Now at 1005 we have scattered high clouds with temperatures in the upper 60s with dewpoints in the mid 60s. The Monday minimum temperature from the VP2 (71.2°) was recorded at 0641 while the maximum temperature (82.9°) was recorded at 1602. Dew point temps ranged from 69° up to 77°. Relative humidity values were higher than yesterday (99% – 79%). Barometric values fell off a bit more today, ranging from 29.99″ at 2339 down to 29.81″ at 0748.

Remember now you can get the VP2 data on Weatherlink. You can access the data throughhttp://www.weatherlink.com/user/walrusman444. I am also now on weather underground. My ID is KMDROCKV200 and my station is called “Gardens of Traville.” Data is online, normally just about in real-time.

We now have a broken overcast with the sun peaking through the clouds at 1005 Tuesday. Partly sunny on Tuesday, highs in the low 80s and lows in the mid 60s. Generally cloudy/showery and cooler weather should follow the rest of the workweek from Wednesday through Friday with temps in the mid 60s-lower 70s. Right now a 60 POP for rain on Wednesday, a 30 POP on Thursday, and 20 POP on Friday under mostly cloudy skies. We still need all the rain we can get!! On Weatherbug at 0918 the radar is mostly clear in the immediate 4 state Mid-Atlantic region with some scattered showers to our west over parts of IN, KY and TN at this time.
