A mostly sunny, pleasant, dry weather update for West Rockville Maryland for Monday October 2 2017

Monday was yet another beautiful early fall day as we proceed further into the month of October. It was mostly sunny with a bit warmer afternoon air and rising (slightly) dew point temperatures after another pleasantly cool early AM. Temperatures rose from the early AM mid 40s into the upper 60s by the afternoon. Dew points remained low all day, ranging from the mid 40s up to the mid 50s. Now at 0855 we have sunny skies and temperatures in the mid 50s with dew points also in the mid 50s. The Monday minimum temperature from the VP2 in the shelter on the ground below my balcony (46.0°) was recorded at 0701 while the maximum temperature (68.7°) was recorded at 1535. Dew point temps ranged from 44° up to 55°. Relative humidity values were a bit higher today (97% – 52%). Barometric values rose even more today, ranging from 30.34″ at 0407 up to 30.48″ at 2355.

Remember now you can get the ground-based VP2 data on Weatherlink. You can access the data through http://www.weatherlink.com/user/walrusman444. I am also now on weather underground. My ID is KMDROCKV200 and my station is called “Gardens of Traville.” Data is online, normally just about in real-time.

We now have sunny skies with temperatures in the mid 50s at 0855 Tuesday. The coming week looks to be a sunny, dry one (through Friday at least) with gradually warming temps as we progress through our first week of October. Tuesday will start the gradual warm up, with highs in the mid 70s and lows in the low 50s under sunny skies. Dry and warmer on Wednesday with highs around 80° and lows in the mid 50s. Thursday and Friday may find a few clouds around with highs in the low 80s, lows around 60°. Unfortunately there continues to be no sign of any rain in the foreseeable future.

On Weatherbug at 0855 the radar is clear in the eastern US north of Florida at this time. Closest precipitation is once again out in parts of Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota.
