A mostly sunny, pleasant, dry weather update for West Rockville Maryland for Saturday September 30 2017

Saturday was another beautiful early fall day to finish out the dry, warm month of September. It was mostly sunny, with a bit cooler air and lower dew point temperatures. Temperatures rose from the early AM low 50s into the mid 60s by the afternoon. Dew points remained relatively low all day, ranging from the mid 50s to the lower 40s. Now at 0712 we have clear skies and temperatures in the upper 40s with dew points in the low 40s. The Saturday minimum temperature from the VP2 in the shelter on the ground below my balcony (53.6°) was recorded at 2359 while the maximum temperature (65.0°) was recorded at 1546. Dew point temps ranged from 56° down to 43°. Relative humidity values were a bit lower today (82% – 48%). Barometric values rose dramatically today, ranging from 30.09″ at 0000 up to 30.36″ at 2354.

Remember now you can get the ground-based VP2 data on Weatherlink. You can access the data through http://www.weatherlink.com/user/walrusman444 On Tuesday I progressed to another source of my real-time data – weather underground. My ID is KMDROCKV200 and my station is called “Gardens of Traville.” Data came online about noontime on Tuesday.

We now have clear skies with temperatures in the comfortable upper 40s at 0712 Sunday. The coming week looks to be a sunny one (through Thursday at least) with gradually warming temps as we progress through our first week of October. Sunday should have highs in the upper 60s, lows in the mid 40s. Monday and Tuesday will warm up a bit, with highs in the mid 70s and lows around 50° under sunny skies. Dry and pleasant on Wednesday with highs into the upper-mid 70s and lows in the mid 50s. Thursday may find a few clouds around with highs reaching around the 80° mark. Unfortunately there still is no sign of any rain at this point.

On Weatherbug at 0712 the radar is showing showers mainly over parts of Minnesota right now, and also down in northern Florida associated with tropical system 99L.

As of 0712 EDT, the data from the VP2 (coming from the ground radiation shield about 4 feet off the ground just under and out from the balcony), the Lakewood WXBug station and the USG VP2 station across the street are as follows :
