A mostly sunny, pleasant, dry weather update for West Rockville Maryland for Friday September 29 2017

Friday was a beautiful early fall day. It was mostly sunny, with comfortable air and low dew point temperatures. Temperatures rose from the early AM low 50s into the upper 60s by the afternoon. Dew points remained relatively low all day, ranging from the low 50s to the upper 40s. Now at 0642 we have clear skies and temperatures in the mid 50s with dew points around 50°. The Thursday minimum temperature from the VP2 in the shelter on the ground below my balcony (51.7°) was recorded at 0740 while the maximum temperature (68.7°) was recorded at 1640. Dew point temps ranged from 53° down to 47°. Relative humidity values were a bit higher today (89% – 48%). Barometric values rose today, ranging from 30.12″ at 0950 down to 30.02″ at 0000.

Remember now you can get the ground-based VP2 data on Weatherlink. You can access the data through  http://www.weatherlink.com/user/walrusman444 On Tuesday I progressed to another source of my real-time data – weather underground. My ID is KMDROCKV200 and my station is called “Gardens of Traville.” Data came online about noontime on Tuesday.

We now have clear skies with temperatures in the comfortable mid 50s at 0642 Saturday. A reinforcing shot of cool air is coming through early this Saturday morning as we transition from September into October with highs in the mid 60s and lows in the mid 40s on Saturday with breezy conditions at times. It should be a few degrees warmer on Sunday with mostly sunny skies. Monday and Tuesday will warm up a bit, with highs in the low-mid 70s and lows around 50° under sunny skies. Dry and pleasant on Wednesday with slightly higher temps but unfortunately no sign at all of any rain at this point.

On Weatherbug at 0642 the radar is showing showers now over upstate NY and much of New England at this time. They continue to move mostly easterly, and will not threaten our area.

As of 0642 EDT, the data from the VP2 (coming from the ground radiation shield about 4 feet off the ground just under and out from the balcony), the Lakewood WXBug station and the USG VP2 station across the street are as follows :
