A cloudy, damp and slightly wet AM yielding to a mild, variably cloudy and humid PM weather update for West Rockville Maryland for Thursday September 14 2017

Thursday started out cloudy and damp with a brief period of occasional light rain and fog in the early morning around 0500-0600 (0.02″) then variably cloudy and milder as the day wore on into the afternoon and evening, with no more rain the rest of the day. Temperatures warmed into the upper 70s with lows in the middle 60s. Dew points were in the 60s all day. Now at 0717 we have clear skies with temperatures in the low to mid 60s with dew points around 60°. The Thursday minimum temperature from the VP2 in the shelter on the ground below my balcony (64.9°) was recorded at 0216 while the maximum temperature (78.2°) was recorded at 1650. Dew point temps flattened out from yesterday, ranging only from 63° to 67°. Relative humidity values were a bit lower than yesterday (97% – 64%). Barometric values rose slightly from yesterday, ranging from 29.84″ at 0246 up to 29.98″ at 2351.

We now have partly cloudy skies with temperatures in the mid 60s at 0717 Friday. Friday through Monday should see high temps from the upper 70s to low 80s with lows in the low-mid 60s under scattered to partly cloudy skies and only a 10-20 POP for rain.

On Weatherbug at 0717 the radar is clearer than it has been in a while, with just some light showers offshore of the mid-Atlantic states out in the Atlantic and light scattered showers over parts of coastal New England.
