A partly cloudy, very warm and humid but dry weather update for West Rockville Maryland for Monday July 3 2017

Monday was another more typical July day, very warm, humid and dry under partly cloudy skies with plenty of sun. After falling into the low-mid 70s during the early AM hours, the temperature rebounded into the upper 80s to around 90° in the mid-late afternoon.  The Taylor Max/Min thermometer had a max of 88.2° from its shielded location in its new “house”, a Davis Model 7714 passive radiation shield. At 0524 we have partly cloudy skies along with temperatures in the muggy low-mid 70s. The minimum temperature (72.4°) was recorded at 0615 while the maximum temperature (88.9°) was recorded at 1528. Dew point temperatures lowered a bit today, ranging from 71° to 61°. Relative humidity values also lowered a bit today  (85% – 40%).  Barometric values rose a bit today, ranging from 30.04″ at 1007 to 29.98″ at 0302.

I got up in the mid afternoon today to take a shower and start in on some miscellaneous projects of cleaning up the recyclables and re-organizing the kitchen a bit. I had a bowl of cereal with sliced bananas with coffee for a late brunch. I then caught up a bit with my email and chatted briefly with Robin. I had two turkey cheeseburgers and a nice salad for dinner. I had prune juice and spicy low-sodium V8 before dinner with no snacks tonight after dinner.  I continued to work a bit more on the newly “hatched” Weatherquack weather website which should be fun in the coming months.  I hope to see many of you soon on Weatherquack http://www.weatherquack.com – it is completely free and easy to use once you complete your registration and a short ramping up period.  I also drank a good part of my ginormous water bottle throughout the evening and early morning hours. I also started preparing some pork in the crockpot for barbecue for the Fourth of July.

We now have partly cloudy skies with temperatures in the low 70s at about 0524, well before sunrise. Partly sunny and very warm (seasonable) with highs around 90° on July 4th (Tuesday) and a 50 POP for showers/storms, lows in the upper 60s. Wednesday looks to be partly cloudy and a bit “cooler” with highs in the lower 80s and a 50 POP for showers/storms and lows in the upper 60s.
