A partly cloudy, very warm and humid but dry weather update for West Rockville Maryland for Sunday July 2 2017

Sunday was more of a typical July day, very warm, humid and dry under partly cloudy skies with plenty of sun. with continued muggy dew points in the mid 70s persisting most of the day. After falling into the low-mid 70s during the early AM hours, the temperature rebounded into the upper 80s to around 90° in the mid-late afternoon.  The Taylor Max/Min thermometer had a max of 89.2° from its shielded location in its new “house”, a Davis Model 7714 passive radiation shield. At 0635 we have partly cloudy skies along with temperatures in the muggy low 70s. The minimum temp(74.2°) was recorded at 0606 while the maximum temperature (89.0°) was recorded at 1448. I got up in the late afternoon today as I really slept well and without interruption. I had a bowl of cereal with sliced bananas and coffee for a late brunch. I caught up a bit with my email and visited a bit on face-time on my phone with Robin and Gideon in the early evening. I had a late snack dinner of toasted rye with crab and seafood salads, along with potato salad.  I got my computer printer cartridge black ink printer problem from yesterday resolved. I forgot to take off the tape on the black ink opening. Thanks to Marty who suggested I check that on our phone call this evening.  I had prune juice and spicy low-sodium V8 before dinner with some cashews after dinner.  I also caught up on email with my old friend Larry W down in Houston TX, which took some time. I tried to encourage him to check out weatherquack. I continued to work a bit more on the newly “hatched” Weatherquack weather website which should be fun in the coming months.  I hope to see many of you soon on Weatherquack http://www.weatherquack.com – it is completely free and easy to use once you complete your registration and a short ramping up period.  I also drank a good part of my ginormous water bottle throughout the evening and early morning hours.

We now have partly cloudy (mostly middle to high clouds) skies with temperatures in the low 70s at about 0635, less than an hour after sunrise. Partly sunny and hot with highs in the low 90s, lows in the upper 60s on Monday, then partly cloudy with highs around 90° on July 4th (Tuesday) and a 40 POP for showers/storms, lows in the upper 60s. Wednesday looks to be partly cloudy and a bit “cooler” with highs in the upper 80s and a 60 POP for showers/storms and lows in the upper 60s. Thursday looks partly cloudy, less warm and a 30 POP for showers/storms, highs in the mid 80s and lows around 70°

On Channel 4 radar at 0640, most of the Eastern US is basically clear of rain , save for some light shower activity over northern Maine and well offshore from the mid-south Atlantic Coast. To the west only showers/storms can be found out in the Arkansas area in parts of the southern Mississippi River Valley.
