A partly cloudy, a tad cooler and dry weather update for West Rockville Maryland for Tuesday June 27 2017

Tuesday started out clear but quickly clouded up in the later AM, then yielded to partly cloudy skies in the afternoon with mostly fair-weather cumulus dotting the sky. There was no rain once again today. High temperatures only rose during the partly sunny afternoon to the upper 70s after a comfortable early AM min in the mid 60s. My newly acquired Taylor Max/Min thermometer maxed out at 88.9°, once again too high of a temperature to officially be my high value for the day. At 0530 we have clear skies with temperatures in the upper 50s to around 60°. The minimum temperature (64.9°) was recorded at 0512 while the maximum temperature (78.4°) was recorded at 1604. Dew point temperatures were about the same as yesterday, ranging from 57° to 48°. Relative humidity values were roughly the same as yesterday’s (67% – 36%).  Barometric values were the same as yesterday, ranging from 30.09″ at 2359 to 29.97″ at 1810.

I got up in the mid afternoon today to get some personal business done and some email out, along with working on more of my weather station data and summaries.  I had sausage, egg, mushrooms and cream cheese heated up in the microwave and filled into a toasted everything bagel as best I could – it was kind of a mess actually but oh so good and filling!   Much later on I had some of the leftover crockpot chicken and broccoli with still another serving left.  I had prune juice and spicy V8 before dinner and some cashews well after dinner. I continued to work a bit more on the newly “hatched” Weatherquack weather website which should be fun in the coming months. Weatherquack was migrated over to a new system overnight, with hopefully better functionality as the little bugs I have found along with other regulars have been addressed. I hope some of you out there will join in the fun soon on Weatherquack http://www.weatherquack.com – it is completely free and easy to use once you complete your registration and a short ramping up period.  I also drank a good part of my ginormous water bottle throughout the evening and early morning hours.

We now have clear skies with temperatures in the upper 50s at about 0535, about 10 minutes prior to sunrise. Wednesday will be sunny and a bit warmer, with highs in the low 80s and lows in the low 60s. Unfortunately Thursday and Friday will be really warming up again, with highs in the low 90s and lows around 70°. A bit hotter still with highs up in the mid 90s on Saturday but with partly cloudy skies and only a 20 POP for afternoon thunderstorms.

On Channel 4 radar at 0551, most of the Eastern US is rain-free. Some showers are noted in Quebec just above the Maine border, plus storms and showers out in parts of the Midwest, in sections of northern WI and MN at this time.
